Mother and Boyfriend Arrested for Brutal Killing of Toddler in Tennessee; ER Doctors Reported Severe Bruising and Trauma Signs to Cops

A mother and her live-in boyfriend were taken into custody Monday morning in relation to the tragic passing of their 14-month-old daughter.

On Sunday, June 2, special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) teamed up with deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office to look into a case involving a toddler who was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

A toddler named Shiloh Durrance was subsequently transported to a hospital in Nashville. Investigators have reported that she tragically passed away on Monday, June 3, as a result of her injuries.

Authorities have announced the arrest of an 18-year-old woman and her 20-year-old live-in boyfriend in relation to the tragic death of a toddler. TBI agents made the arrests on Monday. The individuals, identified as Sara Durrance and Zachary Gray, both residents of Hollow Rock, are now in custody.

Durrance and Gray are facing serious charges related to child abuse and neglect. Gray is also facing an additional charge of criminal homicide.

Both individuals were taken into custody and are now being held at the Carroll County Jail. Durrance is currently being held on a bond of $100,000, while Gray is being held without bond.
