Missouri Woman Mixed Round-Up in Mountain Dew Several Times to Kill Husband; Arrested after Husband went into Critical Care after Drinking Spiked Drink
A woman from Missouri has been taken into custody for allegedly tampering with her husband’s Mountain Dew by adding the chemical herbicide Roundup.
Michelle Peters, a 47-year-old resident of Lebanon, MO, is currently being held without bond at the Laclede County Detention Center. She faces charges of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
A shocking incident has come to light involving Peters, who stands accused of secretly adding the chemical Roundup to her husband’s Mountain Dew on multiple occasions in May and June of this year, as reported by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office. It appears that she has repeated her actions once more on Sunday, this time utilizing insecticide.
“The victim began suspecting the soda was being tampered with after feeling ill. The victim provided video surveillance to the sheriff’s office, indicating that Michelle Peters was tampering with the Mountain Dew stored in a garage refrigerator. The victim was the only one in the household who drank Mountain Dew, kept in that refrigerator,” the sheriff’s office said.
News reports by Click2Houston revealed that Peters was taken into custody following an interview at the sheriff’s office.
