Mississippi Man Arrested after Shooting 4 People to Death, Also killed several others in Different Incidents across the state

Robinsonville, MS: A 20-year-old man is the prime suspect in a quadruple murder in Mississippi.

Anthony Carter Jr. is in custody on charges related to the fatal shootings of Dundee resident Steven Burts, 25-year-old Tednequa Moore, and Moore’s unborn child; and Tunica resident Deshun Isabell, 24-year-old Deshun Isabell perished from injuries sustained in a car accident on Casino Center Boulevard in Robinsonville on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Additionally, Anthony Carter Jr. is facing charges related to the drive-by shooting and attempted murder that transpired on October 26, 2023, targeting Steven Burts in the White Oak Community.

In addition, Anthony Carter Jr. is charged in connection with the attempted murder and drive-by shooting of Deshun Isabell on November 1, 2023, in the White Oak Community.

Tunica County Jail inmate Anthony Carter Jr. is being detained in connection with the April 4, 2023 attempted murders of Thako Jackson and Denzel Jackson.

Carter is additionally detained on charges of Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Firearms, and Contributing to the Delinquency of Minors, all of which were brought against him subsequent to the execution of a search warrant on April 1, 2024. Several firearms were retrieved from Carter’s vehicle in the course of this search warrant operation.

Anthony Carter Jr. (A.J.) has been charged with:
• 4 counts of Capital Murder
• 4 counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
• 1 count of Drive-by Shooting
• 1 count Shooting into a Motor Vehicle

As part of the investigation into the quadruple homicide that occurred on November 10, 2023, further charges and arrests are expected to be processed. This is an ongoing and active investigation.
