Miami Standard (Oakland County, MI) – A man from Oakland County faces the possibility of life imprisonment after entering a no contest plea regarding the kidnapping, rape, and torture of a 9-year-old girl from Farmington Hills in 2021.
Authorities report that Aaron Deneal McDonald abducted a 9-year-old girl close to the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Grand River Avenue in October 2021, subsequently assaulting her at a residence on Detroit’s west side.
It has been reported that McDonald enticed the girl into his vehicle, where he made an attempt to sexually assault her. Following a drive to a residence in Detroit, court filings allege that he assaulted her when she declined to undress, subsequently subjecting her to torture and sexual violence.
The young girl made her daring escape from the house once he drifted off to sleep. She was simply draped in a blanket.
McDonald, who had a prior conviction for sexual violence against a minor, was on parole during the 2021 assault. Days later, he was taken into custody and faced charges including one count of kidnapping, three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of strangulation, and one count of torture. His request for bond was rejected.
On Friday, March 28, 2025, McDonald entered a no contest plea to all charges. He could potentially receive a life sentence.
The date for his sentencing has been set for May 2.
