Miami, FL – According to Miami Fire Rescue, a rollover incident in the Liberty City area hospitalized five persons, two of whom were in “extremely critical” condition.

It occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday at the junction of Northwest 17th Avenue and 54th Street.

“On arrival, crews found a single car accident with a patient trapped, an ejection and multiple pedestrians that were struck by that vehicle,” an MFR spokesperson said in a news release.

Five injured people were sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital, according to officials. A sixth declined therapy.

Fire officials said the three who were not “extremely critical” had statuses that varied from serious to stable.

Miami Police Department are investigating the wreck.
