Miami-Dade Police SRT makes fierce entrance into a motel room to arrest suspected killer

June 9, 2022: On Wednesday afternoon, police officials made a fierce entrance at a motel in South Florida to arrest one of the residents.

It is reported that the occupant of one of the rooms was a possible murderer. The suspect was staying in Room 44 at the Sinbad Motel on the 6100 block of Biscayne Boulevard.

Miami-Dade Police special response team members blew out the windows and doors of Room 44 to capture Maurice Wright Jr.

The 27-year-old suspect had killed his father. A warrant for second-degree murder was issued for his arrest, but he has been on the run ever since.

According to the warrant, “the suspect made threats to kill the family” before the crime.

He killed his father at her grandmother’s house in Northwest Miami-Dade on May 30. He also went behind bars after he threatened his girlfriend back in April. Soon after his release from jail, the offender went after his father.

The Special Response Team headed towards the motel and blew everything to catch the suspect. Late afternoon that day, Wright Jr. was placed under arrest.
