A shocking incident happened when two individuals wearing masks and armed with baseball bats violently assaulted an innocent woman on a street in downtown Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon.
A woman was casually using her cell phone while walking down Monroe Street in Two Bridges around 2 p.m. Suddenly, two individuals dressed in black approached her from behind, as captured by surveillance footage.
A video captures the moment when the first suspect forcefully struck the back of the woman’s head with a punch.

She found herself pressed against the wall of a nearby store, desperately defending herself against the aggressors. The second attacker mercilessly struck her with a black baseball bat, while his accomplice delivered kicks and attempted to snatch her purse from her arm as reported by The Post.
The attackers left without taking anything, and the woman was transported to New York Downtown Hospital. She had bruising on her left leg and swelling on the back of her head, as reported by the police.
The individuals who assaulted her, who she had never met before, are still at large.
