Maserati & Police Chase Ended After Car Struck Bus in San Francisco
San Francisco, CA: Three suspects were apprehended by San Francisco police on Wednesday following a collision between a Maserati and a Muni bus in SoMa, which occurred during a police pursuit.
A collision occurred between a Maserati and a bus in San Francisco. The incident took place just before 4:30 p.m. when the Maserati was making a turn onto Third Street from Bryant Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
Witnesses reported that three people got out of the car and tried to escape on foot along Stillman Street after the accident.
“I witnessed the incident, and as I stepped outside, three individuals rushed past me, nearly knocking me over,” shared a nearby cashier, who prefers to remain anonymous for safety reasons, with The Standard. “The authorities swiftly apprehended the culprits, as they were closely pursued.”
According to a San Francisco police officer at the scene, two of the suspects were detained, while the third was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency reported that both the Muni bus operator and a passenger were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The police department did not provide an immediate response to The Standard’s request for further information regarding the factors that initiated the pursuit.
Officials from SFMTA were guiding traffic at the intersection where the collision took place, while police continued their work at the scene.
According to a spokesperson from SFMTA, a Maserati collided with a 31 Balboa line bus, resulting in moderate damage to the bus. Despite the crash, buses were still operating through the intersection on Wednesday evening. However, commuters were warned to anticipate some lingering delays.
