Man Travelled from Atlanta to Jacksonville to Sell Fentanyl and Guns; Sentenced after Police Busted Him with Stash of Fentanyl Pills
Jacksonville, FL: A man from Georgia has been sentenced to prison for distributing fentanyl in Jacksonville, as reported by the Department of Justice.
According to officials, on March 23, 2023, Leonel Bautista Solis made a trip from Atlanta to Jacksonville with the intention of selling fentanyl.
During Solis’ arrest, federal agents discovered a significant amount of evidence in his car, including 1,600 pressed fentanyl pills, cocaine packaged for sale, and six guns.
Solis confessed to purchasing the firearms in Atlanta and transporting the fentanyl to Jacksonville. According to investigators, he also confessed to delivering the guns along with the drugs.
Solis has been given a sentence of seven years and eight months in prison for the distribution of a minimum of 40 grams of fentanyl. He admitted his guilt on February 28, 2024.
The mugshot of the man has not been released by the authorities. The officials have launched a probe to look into the matter. They hope that they can catch the other individuals involved in the trafficking.
