Man Struck Dead by a Freight Train in San Diego County
San Diego, CA: A man was struck dead by a freight train. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the incident on Sunday.
Sgt. Jason King of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said a southbound BNSF freight train hit the guy at 11:30 p.m. Saturday near Vulcan Avenue and D Street.
As per the authorities, the man died on the spot. This was the second train accident that happened in the county within a week.
Another train killed a dog walker at the Sorrento Valley Coaster station Thursday morning. Police said a North County Transit District Coaster train hit him. San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies suspected a dog rescue attempt.
