Man Shot his Immigrant Girlfriend Dead and Turned himself in with the Dead Body in Florida City
Florida City, FL: A tragic incident occurred on Saturday when a man took the life of his girlfriend inside a car. Shockingly, he even video-called her estranged husband before heading to the Florida City police station to surrender himself.
He then drove to the police station with the victim’s body on the passenger’s seat and turned himself into the police.
Alexander Roque has been taken into custody and is now facing second-degree murder charges, as stated in the online jail records.
Reports indicate that Roque is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Yessenia Rodriguez Marquez, inside a white Hyundai Tucson on Saturday night. He then proceeded to drive to the police station located along West Palm Drive.
He turned himself into the authorities and informed them that the body was located inside the vehicle, along with the firearm he used to shoot her, as stated in an arrest report that was made public on Monday.

Authorities discovered the victim in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, with a gun on the driver’s side floorboard.
During the first part of the investigation, cops called a witness who turned out to be the victim’s ex-husband. He told the police that Roque had sent him a picture of the bloody body of the victim inside the car. The police report said that he also said he got a call from Roque in which he admitted to killing her.
The victim’s ex-husband later told police that Roque video-called him on WhatsApp and showed him her dead body. He recorded the call and later gave the video to police, the story said.
Police say Roque also told his cousin about it over the phone and sent a similar picture. His cousin then called 911.
His ex-husband informed NBC6 that Marquez and her 12-year-old daughter arrived in the United States from Cuba seven months ago.
Alexander Roque is being held at Miami-Dade County Jail without bond.
