Man Set On Fire In Broad Daylight in DC; Police Looking for Suspect
Washington DC: The Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a suspect after he set one man on fire after spraying liquid accelerant on him. The horrific incident happened on Monday afternoon in broad daylight near the U.S. Capitol building.
This offense is very grave and raises questions about public safety as it happened near the Capitol building.
The victim was walking at the corner of North Capitol Street and P Street Northwest, which is about a mile north of the National Mall. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department says an unknown man approached him and doused him in liquid accelerant.

Police say that the suspect then lit the man on fire with the liquid and ran off. Police said the person was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for major injuries.
The police shared a surveillance picture of the suspect, who looks like he is carrying a glass jar.
