Man on the Run after 73 Dogs Rescued from his House in Turlock, House was Filthy and Big Mess and Dogs were severely abused as per the rescuers
Turlock, CA: An alleged animal cruelty suspect is on large after authorities rescued 73 dogs from a residence in Turlock city in California. The rescue operation was carried on Thursday and since then the alleged suspect is on the large.
Three residences in the 400 block of South First Street were searched by Turlock detectives in connection with an investigation into animal abuse and probable canine fighting.
The residence were the subject of an investigation that started in early March, according to officials, following concerns raised by Turlock Animal Services over previous occurrences in the vicinity.
According to the authorities, around ten canines were in the yards, which is against the law in California.
There were a total of seventy-three canines saved from the three properties. Additionally, a few of the canines are expecting puppies any day now.
Authorities have described the dogs’ living conditions as appalling and cruel.
Jorge Ayala, 46 years old, was named as the suspect by the detectives. The police are clueless as to his location.
The Turlock Police Animal Services shelter was entrusted with the care of all the canines that were taken as evidence.
Until further notice, the shelter will not take in any more pets as surrenders from new owners because of the large number of dogs already taken in.
Shelter officials have stated that ten other canines, who are not involved in the inquiry, must be adopted in order to accommodate the others. There will be no adoption fees.
