Chicago, IL: A man killed his cousin in a drug deal gone wrong and the assailant’s girlfriend helped him to clean up the crime scene and get rid of the body.

Prosecutors in Chicago have charged an 18-year-old woman with aiding her boyfriend in concealing the body of a man he murdered in an alley. After prosecutors claimed that Kailea Davis fled to Arkansas following the murder, Judge David Kelly held her because she posed a purposeful flight risk.

During Allison’s detention hearing, prosecutors stated that Jarvael Miller, 29, Allison’s cousin, Davis, and a witness all met together on November 4 in Chicago to purchase drugs.

They proceeded to Allison’s parked semi-truck sleeper cab in Lansing’s south suburban area after finalizing the purchase. As Davis and the other witness observed, prosecutors claimed that Allison shot Miller multiple times while they were all sitting in the truck.

According to prosecutors in a court document, Davis went back to the truck right after the murder to retrieve Miller’s clothes. The report states that she also assisted Allison in disposing of Miller’s body in an alley behind the 5600 block of South Wabash and cleaned up Allison’s truck.

Prosecutors stated that following the murder, Davis and Allison escaped to Arkansas. Earlier this year, Allison was detained in custody on a murder warrant from Cook County after being apprehended in Crittenden County, Arkansas, which is located just west of Memphis, for an unrelated incident.

On April 1, police in Sangamon County, Illinois, detained Davis. She faces charges of destroying evidence and covering up a murder.
