Man Hit With Truck in New York City; Victim’s Head Severed after Intense Collision as per NYPD
A tragic incident occurred in Brooklyn on Wednesday, where an elderly pedestrian lost their life after being involved in a collision with a City Department of Transportation vehicle, according to authorities.
An 86-year-old man was struck by a truck while crossing the street in Bay Ridge. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of 92nd Street and Dahlgren Place, as reported by the NYPD.
According to sources, the impact of the collision was so intense that it resulted in the victim’s head being separated from his body, as reported by The Post.
Graphic images depict law enforcement concealing the gruesome aftermath with a solitary covering, while a yellow DOT vehicle equipped with a crane remains stationary in the vicinity.
The man’s body was found several yards away in the crosswalk. The truck driver, aged 31, stayed at the scene and there have been no arrests so far.
