Man Found Dead in New Jersey Home, Police Open Investigation

Following the discovery of a body in a Franklin Lakes home on Sunday morning, authorities have opened a homicide investigation.

According to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the victim was discovered when police were called to a home in the 500 block of Haddon Place at approximately 7:40 a.m.

The identity of the victim has not been made public as the family of the victim has not been informed about the incident by the police. Additional details will be revealed further if the family grants permission to do so.

According to property records, the house in which the victim was found dead is a 1978 single-family home owned by a couple.

Franklin Lakes police are investigating the prosecutor’s office. The authorities did not immediately answer requests for more case details.
