Man Died from Drug Overdose; Ordered from the Dark Web and may have Chinese Origins

Denver, Colorado: The autopsy result of the man who died of a drug overdose was concluded a few days back.

The autopsy revealed that the man used a drug that was 10 times stronger than fentanyl. This is the first such case of this drug and resulting death from its overdose.

The substance, known as n-desethyl etonitazene, is a synthetic opioid that is thought to have its origins in China.

Commander Nicholas Goldberger of the Boulder County Drug Task Force informed the public about the case in a press release. He said,”

There are so many different constructional components to different nitazenes out there. We’re actively looking at two cases which reference nitazenes and of course our primary look appears to be that the substances are coming from the dark web for these or at least one of the cases.”

In this instance, the tablets had been laced with nitazines, despite their rise in popularity in the 1980s.
The individual passed away earlier in the year, but the autopsy results have only recently allowed for the identification of the cause of death.
