Man assaulted Flight Attendant after Verbal Slurs on American Airlines Flight; arrested in Tampa
Tampa, FL: According to a report and some wild footage, an American Airlines passenger threw an antisemitic insult at a flight attendant, which led to a chaotic situation where he was held in a headlock and brought off the plane.
Even before Tuesday afternoon’s takeoff from Tampa International Airport, chaos ensued aboard American Airlines flight 2506, which was bound for Philadelphia.
Social media footage shows the disruptive passenger, who was wearing a striped button-down shirt in blue and white, yelling abuses at flight attendants and fellow passengers before claiming that other passengers were “teaming up” against him and forcing him off the plane.
Another video footage that surfaced online shows him cursing at a different flight attendant who was assisting him.
“You all have made it harder for me to get to my home country, and I’m trying to get there,” he yelled.
He proceeded to confront another man in the aisle, who was wearing a blue pullover, and urged him to disembark as well.
According to different footage, the altercation intensified when the disruptive passenger accused the other blue-clad person of physically touching him.
The man in blue allegedly put the troublemaker in a headlock after they began pushing one other.
The clip shows that the woman in the hat and another passenger with tattoos on her sleeves helped guide the rowdy man to the plane’s departure.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Tampa International Airport Police Department informed them that a guy was taken into custody outside the plane at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and indicted on two counts of violence and disorderly intoxication.
“A disturbance in the cabin involving a disruptive customer” was the reason why the jet was escorted to the airport, according to American Airlines, which informed the newspaper on Thursday.
The incident caused the flight to be delayed.

Reportedly, American Airlines expressed their gratitude to their personnel for their professionalism and apologized to passengers for any inconvenience caused.
