Man Arrested Extradited from Virginia after He Chopped Guest and Kept his Head in Freezer for 2 Years in New York City Apartment, Wife took Turns with him to Cut the Body

New York City, NY: A man was arrested in New York City for allegedly keeping the severed head of a drug dealer in his refrigerator for two years. He stuck his tongue after his arrest for photos.

On Friday, the man from Brooklyn was charged with murder in the horrible crime of killing a sex offender during a drug fight. He then kept the slain head in a freezer for two years.

Extradited to New York this week from Chesapeake, Virginia, 45-year-old Nicolas McGee was being held in connection with an identity fraud case.

Along with being charged with murder, robbery, hiding of a human corpse, and tampering with physical evidence in relation to the death of 40-year-old Kawsheen Gelzer, the suspect—who had a facial tattoo—was escorted out of the NYPD’s 67th Precinct while wearing a rumpled shirt and mugging for the cameras.

In January, authorities began their investigation after discovering the dismembered remains of local drug dealer Gelzer in a freezer within an apartment on Nostrand Avenue.

Heather Stines, McGee’s 45-year-old wife, was a resident of the flat when the grisly discovery was made.

Rumor has it that she told authorities that in September, during a drug-related altercation, McGee murdered Gelzer, dismembered him, and stashed the parts, according to sources in the law enforcement community.

Virginia authorities apparently managed to get McGee to confess to killing Gelzer on March 22, 2022, 17 months before they had initially expected, by offering him a cigarette in exchange for his complete narrative.

Sources indicated that during the hour-long interrogation, McGee claimed that Gelzer merely questioned “why” in his final minutes.

Why? Because you’re a total jerk! “And I’m sick of you!” was reportedly McGee’s reaction.

After the couple let him stay on their couch, McGee allegedly informed the police that he was angry at Gelzer for being unkind with his narcotics stash.

Sources told McGee that Gelzer, who has been on the state sex offender register since his 2005 conviction for abusing a 12-year-old boy, was impolite to his hosts as well.

If what he told the cops is true, McGee allegedly snatched a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back while he slept on the couch.

After several stabbings and a hammer blow to Gelzer, the altercation finally came to a stop.

Despite being at home throughout the incident, McGee insisted that Stines had no hand in the murder, according to sources.

They let Gelzer’s body rot in the flat for a few days after he died as per The Post.

Then, according to the allegations, McGee and Stines alternated in slicing the corpse with a tiny saw. They placed the pieces in plastic bags and put the bag in the fridge.

According to the sources, they utilized medications they had stolen from Gelzer’s pockets after slicing up his body and drinking vodka.

According to tenants, Stines had grown concerned about allowing anyone into the apartment in the weeks preceding the discovery of the severed body parts.

According to what they said, the refrigerator had been taped shut. Stines was sent for a psychological evaluation following the police raid, and he was subsequently charged with concealing a corpse.

According to court documents, her next court appearance is scheduled for May 24th, and she is now being held at the Rose M. Singer Center.

In Brooklyn Supreme Court, Justice Jane Tully arraigned McGee and ordered him jailed without bail.

The statement from Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez described the murder as “somewhat gruesome and horrific,” adding that the victim was attacked while he was sleeping. “We will now work to ensure that the accused is held responsible for this tragic crime.”
