Man Arrested after Human Remains found on Property after Family of 4 went Missing; Last Seen at His Home in Florida
A tragic discovery was made as authorities found human remains on property in Hudson, Florida, following the disappearance of a family of four, including two young children.
A 25-year-old named Rory Atwood has been charged with first-degree murder, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Chris Nocco provided an update during a press conference on Saturday, stating that the human remains discovered on Atwood’s property have not been identified yet. Investigators suspect that the remains could potentially belong to the missing family. Currently, the sheriff’s office is identifying the remains as those of an unidentified individual.
Authorities have reported that Rain Mancini, Phillip Zilliot II, Karma Zilliot, and Phillip Zilliot III were last spotted around 12:30 a.m. on June 12 in the vicinity of Nottingham Trail in Hudson. The investigators are currently looking into the matter.

Nocco mentioned that it was the final occasion Mancini’s mother laid eyes on her daughter.
Mancini, her friend Zilliot II, and Atwood were present at the house along with Mancini and Zilliot’s two children and Atwood’s daughter, according to officials. According to the sheriff, the adults were consuming alcohol during that period.
On Thursday evening, deputies conducted a search of Atwood’s property with his consent. The property spans approximately 10 acres of serene rural land, and authorities conducted a thorough investigation but found no unusual findings.
Investigators spoke with Mancini’s mother on Wednesday evening, who stated that she was unaware of her daughter’s whereabouts and had not been in contact with her since Wednesday.
Deputies revisited Atwood’s property on Friday night to conduct a search for the family that is currently unaccounted for, and unfortunately, human remains were found.
The sheriff’s office informed Fox News Digital on Sunday that the investigation is still ongoing and no new details are available regarding the identity of the remains.
