Man Arrested After Drug Bust in Riverside; Fentanyl and Meth Confiscated

Riverside, CA: A Perris resident was apprehended on Friday during a drug raid that uncovered a diverse collection of deadly fentanyl tablets, methamphetamine, and money.

Miguel Angel Lopez, 43, is currently in custody facing many charges following a police operation at his residence on Ruby Road in the 1000 block, as stated by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives conducted a thorough investigation for several weeks before arresting Lopez for his suspected participation in fentanyl sales.

The narcotics team, comprising deputies from the Perris City and Perris County Special Enforcement Teams, found more than drugs.

They confiscated ballistic panels, ammunition, and a collapsible baton, which added troubling evidence to the case.

Lopez was arrested and taken to the Cois Byrd Detention Center for multiple offenses, such as possessing a controlled narcotic with intent to sell, endangering a child, and being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition and body armor.

As to a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies discovered a 12-year-old youngster alone in the house in close proximity to the narcotics. The child has been entrusted to a relative’s care.

To provide information regarding Lopez or other suspects, individuals are encouraged to contact Deputy D. Soto at the Perris Sheriff’s Station by calling 951-210-1000 or visiting the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department website.
