Latest LAPD DUI Checkpoints Dates and Location For Christmas and New Year
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is planning a massive DUI campaign called “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” in advance of the approaching holiday season.
In a recent press briefing, the LAPD revealed that it will launch citywide DUI crackdowns and patrols in the run-up to January 1st. Here is the brief schedule for the checkpoints as per the press release:
- December 20 -Hollywood area between 9 pm to 3 am.
- December 21- Newton and Rampart between 4 pm to 12 am.
- December 21- Pacific Coast Highway and Figeroa Street between 6 pm to 11 pm.
- December 22- Figueroa Street and 9th Street between 6 pm to 11 pm.
- December 23- Van Nuys Boulevard from 3 pm to 11 pm
- December 23- South Bureau, Harbor, and 77th Streets from 6 pm to 2 am.
- December 23- Western Avenue and Venice Boulevard from 6 pm to 11 pm.
- December 28- Huntington Drive and Pueblo Street from 6 pm to 11 pm.
- December 28- Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Marylee Street from 6 pm to 2 am.
- December 29- Central Bureau from 4 pm to 12 am.
- December 29- Victory Boulevard, Babcock Avenue, Slauson Avenue, Hoover Street, Sunset Boulevard and Orange Grove Avenue. These areas will be under patrolling from 6 pm to 11 pm.
On New Year’s Day, DUI patrol will monitor La Cienega Boulevard and Sawyer Street from 6 pm to 11 pm.
“The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) wants to remind the public of the dangers of driving impaired and celebrate the holiday season responsibly by not driving under the influence,” a statement by LAPD in the press release.
