LAPD Arrest Driver After Long Chase Across 3 Counties; Sparks Fly on 101 FWY
Los Angeles, CA: A driver has been apprehended after a lengthy police pursuit spanning three counties on Wednesday night.
A suspect, originally linked to a potential domestic violence incident, allegedly stole the car they were in and led authorities on a pursuit through Riverside and San Bernardino counties, ultimately concluding in Los Angeles.
At certain points of the chase, the suspect reached speeds of 100 mph and even accelerated to 130 mph. The suspect’s vehicle spun out twice, ultimately losing control for good on the second occasion. The suspect was swiftly apprehended by the police, who promptly removed him from the vehicle and placed him under arrest at around 11 p.m. PT.
Officials did not disclose the specific domestic incident they were linked to.
