Miami Standard (Los Angeles, CA) – Authorities are on the lookout for a Lamborghini driver who escaped the scene of a fatal collision with a Toyota SUV in Hancock Park during the early hours of Monday.
A collision was noted just prior to 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of 1st Street and Highland Avenue.
Footage captured at the location revealed the severely wrecked Toyota, which had rotated before halting with its front end resting atop a sizable boulder.
Two individuals, one male and one female, were discovered by emergency responders with severe injuries while inside the Toyota.
A woman in the passenger seat was declared deceased after being taken to a nearby hospital, according to Officer Cervantes from the Los Angeles Police Department. The male victim is currently in critical condition.
Authorities suspect that the Lamborghini was heading north on Highland when it collided with the Toyota that was going east on 1st.
The driver of the Lamborghini reportedly left the car behind and escaped the area, leading to an investigation into the hit-and-run incident.
