Lake Los Angeles Accident 15-year-old Survivor Dies at Hospital
A 15-year-old boy died at the hospital. He was receiving medical treatment after he got seriously injured in a car crash.
The medical examiner’s office said that Diego Manzo passed away at a hospital on Saturday. The driver, identified by the CHP as Manzo, was from Hesperia.
Manzo was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee north on Fieldspring Street when, “for reasons still under investigation,” the car exited the road and overturned, according to the CHP’s preliminary inquiry.
The accident happened in Lake Los Angeles after the Jeep he was driving rolled over in the streets. There were five passengers in the car. One was pronounced dead at the scene, and the remaining four were taken to the hospital.
At about 11:15 p.m. on Friday, the California Highway Patrol reported that a crash happened on Fieldspring Street, south of Avenue O.
The one who died at the hospital was a 15-year-old teen who was driving the car. The CHP and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner report that Alejandro Monge Ramos, 17, of Hemet, passed away at the site of the accident.
The other three teen boys sustained major injuries. They are reported to be stable. The authorities confirmed that none of the five passengers were wearing a seatbelt. Officials are also considering the possibility of substance abuse by teenagers.
