LA Fire Update: Sylmar Auto Body Shop Destroyed by Roaring Fire
LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an early-morning fire at an auto body shop in Sylmar on Thursday.
At 12:17 a.m., LAFD personnel were called to the 12800 block of North San Fernando Road in response to a one-story car body shop that was heavily engulfed in flames.
Firefighters arrived and launched an immediate offensive to put out the fire.
Firefighters went into defensive mode to carry on the fight because of how intense the flames were. According to the LAFD, it took 68 firefighters 35 minutes to reach the fire, contain it, and put it out.
No injuries were reported. An investigation is underway to find the fire’s cause.
