Knife-Brawl in New York City High School, 5 Injured after Altercation with fellow Student
New York City, NY: A high school in Queens, New York, was the scene of an afternoon altercation on Wednesday, during which five students and one security guard were allegedly stabbed.
Three male students, aged 17 and 16, and two male students, aged 16 and 18, were injured in a minor slash wound incident that broke out at The New Dawn Charter High School on 161st Street near 89th Avenue in Jamaica at approximately 12:45 p.m., according to sources and the police.
Among the two groups of teens admitted to the hospital were a 16-year-old who sustained facial injuries and a 17-year-old who sustained a knife wound to the finger, according to the sources.
The sources state that a 59-year-old male school security guard sustained injuries to his right arm.
By the time the afternoon rolled around, all of the teenagers had been arrested but had yet to face any charges.

The authorities have detained the suspect and all the victims are getting treated for their injuries.
The cops have started an investigation to find the cause of the brawl. Teachers and other students were also questioned.
The identities of the victims and the prime suspect has not been revealed as all of them are juveniles.
The involved high school has not released any statement about the incident. However, all the parents were notified of the incident.
