Kidnapped Indiana Teen found Safe after Authorities Busted Trafficking Attempt in Missouri; 5 Arrested and Charged

Authorities in northeast Missouri have apprehended five individuals allegedly involved in the abduction of a teenage girl from Cass County.

Court documents reveal that officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol received information in the early hours of June 17 about an ongoing search for a 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing from Cass County.

According to reports, the father of the girl claimed to have seen her getting into a vehicle, which was later identified as a black Dodge Durango with an unknown registration. A concerned father reached out to the Logansport Police Department to report his daughter’s disappearance.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office promptly informed troopers about the location of the missing girl’s cell phone, which had been detected in a suspect vehicle with Texas registration. The vehicle was reported to be heading westbound on U.S. 36 near Hannibal, Missouri.

Shortly after, a trooper spotted an SUV that matched the given description and proceeded to pull it over in Macon County, Missouri. During the stop, the trooper noticed a girl in the backseat of the vehicle who claimed to be the missing teen. The trooper proceeded to take the juvenile and put her in the patrol vehicle.

The trooper, with the help of the Macon Sheriff’s Office, apprehended the individuals. They are identified as:

  • Marlon Aguilar of Honduras
  • Arturo Eustaquio of Mexico
  • Noe Guzman Hernandez of Mexico
  • Daniel Ruiz Lopez of Mexico
  • Carlos Funez of Honduras

All five individuals have been taken to the Macon County Jail and are facing serious charges of kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child as reported by FOX59.

Based on court documents, it is believed by authorities that the men were transporting the young girl to California.
