Juveniles Arrested after They Fired Shots at Parking Garage in Columbus; Cops Say Heated Argument Turned Violent

Two teens were apprehended following an incident involving gunshots at Easton Town Center during the evening of Saturday.

Authorities were alerted to gunfire in the West Parking Garage at approximately 8:49 p.m., according to police statements. There were no reported injuries, as confirmed by the Columbus Division of Police.

Columbus police have reported an incident that initially began as a confrontation between two groups and has resulted in the arrest of two teenage boys. They are facing charges of felonious assault, discharging firearms on prohibited premises, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Both individuals have been placed in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.

Following the incident, law enforcement officials took immediate action by evacuating the mall’s parking garages and intensifying their presence in the surrounding area. Officers at Easton were the first to respond after shots were heard, arriving on the scene within minutes.
