Investigation Ongoing as Indiana Youth Pastor Faces Multiple Charges for Child Sex Crimes

An individual from central Indiana who held multiple roles as a youth pastor, substitute teacher, and coach in Henry County has been taken into custody on charges related to child sex crimes.

Bryan Crabtree from Sulphur Springs was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities launched an investigation into Crabtree following multiple reports of alleged sexual misconduct with children.

According to the HCSO, Crabtree holds multiple roles within the community, serving as a youth pastor at Sulphur Springs Christian Church, as well as a substitute teacher and coach at Shenandoah School Corporation. Crabtree was promptly dismissed by the church following his arrest.

According to police, HSCO has informed the school district about the charges. FOX59/CBS4 has contacted the district for comment.

Crabtree faces a list of preliminary charges involving Alleged Sexual Misconduct with a Minor and Child Solicitation Charges

According to Henry County officials, the investigation into Crabtree is still ongoing and they anticipate filing additional charges against him prior to the trial. The online court records have yet to be updated to reflect the initial hearing in Crabtree’s case.
