Infant Alive after Murder-Suicide Incident in Georgia; Parents Dead from Gunshot Wounds: Coweta County Sheriff

Authorities in Coweta County are currently investigating the tragic incident involving the discovery of two deceased individuals in a car within a residential area. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are being treated as a murder-suicide.

The car was parked near the curb on Hayward Bishop Way, close to Hayward Bishop Court within the Peek’s Crossing subdivision.

A resident spotted the vehicle and immediately dialed 911 after noticing two individuals who seemed to be unconscious inside.

A man and woman were discovered deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, as reported by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. Officials report that there was also an infant present in the vehicle during the shooting incident.

FOX 5 crews observed a scene of police activity with crime scene tape cordoning off the area around a blue Nissan. The vehicle’s windows were concealed with sheets. Deputies were setting up a privacy barrier around the vehicle.

Investigators thoroughly searched the area, interviewed neighbors, and reviewed surveillance footage from nearby homes.

“Sad, very sad for what had happened … nothing ever happens over here like that,” remarked Demetrice Foster.

The identities of the two individuals discovered deceased in the vehicle have not yet been disclosed. Authorities report that the child has been reunited with their family members, ensuring their safety.
