Racquelle Dolores Anteola, a 34-year-old Van Nuys singer better known by her stage name Rahky, and her 36-year-old friend, the fitness influencer Melissa Dufour of Miramar, Florida, may receive life sentences in federal prison after allegedly arranging to enter a guilty plea to charges of smuggling more than 200 pounds of cocaine through Alabama.

When the two were traveling from Houston to Atlanta on Interstate 10 in Mobile County, Alabama, in a customized Ford Expedition with Texas dealer plates, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office pulled them up in June. The officers arrested both of them on drug trafficking charges.

According to the local newspaper Lagniappe, the SUV had aftermarket compartments and a modified floor that provided more covert storage for illegal drugs.

The indictment provided a timeline of their involvement in the smuggling trade. The women had been involved in drug trafficking activities from at least November 2022.

Due to the attention this case has received, it has brought to light the unforeseen legal issues that prominent figures in the fitness and entertainment sectors have to deal with.

Dufour founded a clothing brand Sexy Sweats and Anteola was known for her singing career. It will be interesting to know how the indictment and final hearing will affect their personal and professional lives.
