Houston Man charged with 6 Felonies after he robbed and Sexually Assaulted Woman in Park; had a long rap of Crime Spree

Houston, TX: A Houston man is facing six counts of violent felonies following a series of incidents that horrified three park-goers in North Harris County. He has a history of severing sentences from state prisons.

The 42-year-old Josue Carranza is currently being held in the Harris County Jail on charges of four counts each of aggravated assault, sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated robbery. Records indicate that bond has not been set for two of the counts, adding up to a total of half a million dollars.

The alleged crimes took place at Clark Park on March 26th, close to Carranza’s stated residence on Clark Road.

Three young people were working out at the park when Carranza allegedly approached them and demanded that they empty their pockets while brandishing a revolver.

He subsequently got the complainant into a car and drove her to an ATM, where he stole her money. During Carranza’s probable cause court appearance, a hearing officer from Harris County stated that he sexually abused her after forcing her to drive him to the store and then back to the park.

According to an insider, a police helicopter equipped with an infrared camera caught the sexual assault in the act, but the exact duration of the spate of offenses is yet unknown. Prosecutors have asked the judge to hold Carranza without bond, according to court records.

The three victims were horrified and when local people learned about the incident, they were also taken aback. A resident near the park said that they need to protect themselves and their kids from such freaks and should always be alert to their surroundings.

The victims filed a report but their identities have not been revealed by the authorities as per their request.
