New 911 calls expose the moments leading up to the arrest of a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy on kidnapping and violence charges after an incident involving his girlfriend.

Terrance Dion Chester, 28, was arrested by Broward Sheriff’s officials in Pompano Beach and placed into jail on Thursday morning.

According to an arrest report, Chester repeatedly beat his girlfriend, the mother of his child, and when she tried to flee, he allegedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back into the couple’s home, pulling out a gun at one point.

“There’s a woman being beaten on someone and he has a gun; I’m not sure if that’s her boyfriend or what,” a caller tells a dispatcher in one of the calls. “He’s swinging her around ma’am.”

Multiple neighbors reportedly witnessed the event late Wednesday night.

“The gate was wide open, and we saw the lady on the floor begging for help,” one shouts out. “She is definitely getting hit on. She’s obviously not going to get very far because he’s already pulling out firearms and whatnot.”

The victim’s sister also dialed 911 at one point.

“They have a 2-year-old baby, and that baby is in the house,” she explained during the call.

Broward Sheriff’s officials arrived and stated that they were able to remove the gun from Chester.

Chester appeared before a judge on Friday, and his bond was set at $90,000.

During the appearance, Chester’s defense attorney stated that client had no prior criminal history and, at one point, minimized the kidnapping allegations.

“So basically the kidnapping is going from just outside the residence to inside the residence where she is let go and she is free to go outside,” according to the attorney.

The prosecutor asked the judge to keep Chester in custody.

“The victim was carried back into the house, which also housed a small child. Fortunately, she was able to exit the house with the child and alert the enforcement. If she was unable to, the prosecutor expressed concern about where this could have gone.

Chester eventually posted the bond. When he exits jail, he must wear a GPS monitor, be on house arrest, and is barred from contacting the alleged victim or possessing weapons.

Chester, a five-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, was relieved of duty but remains employed for the time being.

“I am profoundly worried and outraged by the arrest of one of my deputies on serious domestic-related allegations. “This behavior is completely unacceptable and directly violates our values and the law,” Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said in a statement. “I want to be absolutely clear: no one is above the law!” The safety and well-being of victims will always come first, and any member of this organization who abuses the trust of the community or their oath of office will be held fully accountable. The deputy is currently relieved of duty. There is no place for violence in this job or at home.”
