Gunpoint Robbery at Taco Bells in Palo Alto

Palo Alto, California: Early on Wednesday morning in South Palo Alto, an individual robbed a Taco Bell at gunpoint, according to the police.

According to a news release from the Palo Alto Police Department, the suspect entered the restaurant at 910 East Charleston Road at around 12:30 a.m. and threatened an employee who was alone and preparing to shut for the night with a firearm.

The victim gave the suspect the money after he first requested it from the registers, according to the police. Then he made a demand for any further cash in the shop. The victim rushed out a back door to safety after telling the suspect he would grab some from the back.

According to authorities, the victim told his supervisor about the incident, and the supervisor then called the police.

The victim identified the culprit as a White or Latino person in his late teens or early 20s. When last spotted, the suspect was donning a ski mask.

The suspect fled the scene of the heist by getting into a dark-colored automobile and heading toward Highway 101 on San Antonio Road, according to the police.
