Georgia Police Busted Gang members that are involved in Drug Trafficking in State Prisons

Washington County, GA: Following an alleged attempt to smuggle contraband into a medium-security prison, three suspects have been apprehended.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies stopped two vehicles they believe were transporting illicit drugs to the Washington State Prison in collaboration with Davisboro police officers. Included in the seized evidence are a minimum of two drones.

According to WCSO, an estimated 15 pounds of cannabis, 10 pounds of tobacco, 70 grams of ecstathio, and 10 grams of oxycodone were seized from the two vehicles.

Lamarion Weems, 37, of Morrow, Timmie Cobb, 44, of Rex, and Toddrick Williams, 22, of Atlanta were all charged with the following:

  • Crossing Guardline without Consent of Warden
  • Use of Unmanned Aircraft to Accomplish Violations
  • Items Prohibited for Possession by Inmates
  • Trading with Inmates
  • Trafficking in Marijuana
  • Trafficking in (MDMA)
  • Possession of Schedule II Drug (Oxycodone) with Intent to Distribute
  • Racketeering
  • Conspiracy to Commit a Crime

Sheriff Joel Cochran says, “The Washington County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to collaborating with various agencies to ensure the safety and security of our community and its residents, including those incarcerated at Washington State Prison. We will not permit individuals from other areas to enter our community and engage in criminal activities.”
