Gang-Related Shooting Claimed Two Lives in California; Woman Perpetrator Arrested for Opening Gunfire

A woman from Santa Ana has been arrested and is currently in custody for reportedly shooting at two men in the early hours of Saturday morning, resulting in the death of one of them.
A press release from the Anaheim Police Department states that officers and Anaheim Fire Department personnel responded to a shooting incident in Anaheim’s 800 block of West Cottonwood Circle at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Upon the arrival of officers, it was discovered that two individuals, described as adult men, had been taken to a nearby hospital by witnesses. According to the police, one of the men had sustained a single stab wound and is expected to recover, while the other man was unfortunately pronounced deceased upon reaching the hospital.
The individual has been identified as Jose Andres Abrego, aged 30, from Anaheim. The identity of the injured victim has not been disclosed.
Jannett Cureno was quickly identified by investigators after she fled the scene before officers arrived.
A suspect, Cureno, 24, was apprehended in Santa Ana without any issues on Saturday afternoon, according to the police.
She has been taken into custody at the Anaheim Detention Facility and is currently being held on a bail amount of $1 million as per KTLA.
