Florida Woman Slept with 30 Teens and Recorded Explicit Activities to Lure More Teens: Court Records
A Tampa woman, who allegedly posed as a teenager to manipulate teenage boys into engaging in sexual relationships, has been ordered to remain in jail until her trial by a Hillsborough County judge on Monday.
Alyssa Zinger, who is now 23 years old, appeared in court to request early release from jail prior to her trial. Zinger was taken into custody in November and faced charges of two counts of felony lewd or lascivious battery and five counts of felony lewd or lascivious molestation.
Authorities have revealed that Zinger was involved in a long-term sexual relationship with a teenage boy. In May 2023, she reportedly formed friendships with students from Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Tampa through Snapchat. Based on court documents, it is alleged that she engaged in approximately 30 sexual acts with a student aged between 12 and 15 at his residence.
According to investigators, certain sexual acts were recorded and then shared with other students through Snapchat.
Zinger entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.
According to detectives, the investigation into that case has revealed four more victims, one of whom has brought Zinger back to court on Monday.
“This case highlights the disturbing pattern of Ms. Zinger’s inappropriate behavior towards several young male victims. She not only engaged in explicit conversations with them through social media, but also met them in person for sexual encounters,” stated Traci Dishman, a prosecutor from Hillsborough County.
Tampa Police Detective Amanda Baranowski testified on Monday that Zinger managed to deceive a 14-year-old boy into believing she was 16 years old, despite being 21 at the time. She has been alleged to have pretended to be a 14-year-old in other instances.
The detective mentioned that her investigation is still in progress and there may be more individuals affected.
Zinger has been in custody since April, when more individuals came forward with allegations. The defense requested the judge to take into account that Zinger did not violate any laws during her initial pre-trial release and her past psychological challenges.
In a surprising turn of events, the judge sided with prosecutors and made the decision to keep Zinger in jail until her trial.
