Florida Woman Caught in Cemetery doing Inappropriate Acts, Later Charged With Drug Trafficking

A Florida woman is in jail and faces many felony charges after a Florida Highway Patrol officer allegedly caught her in a graveyard indulging in sexual activities.

Trooper W.R. Kelly stated in an incident report that he went to the Wild Cow Cemetery on the afternoon of March 27 to give his K9 a break.

When he arrived at the cemetery, he spotted a white Nissan “with the windows down and no one in the immediate area,” according to the report.

Kelly then “observed a white male and female at the rear of the cemetery engaged in sexual activity,” according to the affidavit.

According to the complaint, two additional law enforcement officers on the site saw the guy and woman as well.

Troopers then approached the couple and asked for identification because the cemetery was locked at the time, and the couple returned to their car “to obtain clothing, put a blanket back, and the female obtained her ID,” according to the report.

A fourth law enforcement officer arrived on the scene and performed a “free air sniff” of the vehicle with the K9, which alerted the trooper to a “trained odor,” according to the report.

Kelly claims that the officers discovered methamphetamine, Xanax, and Oxycodone in the car during the search.

Stephanie Wegman was arrested that same day and charged a few days later with two charges of possession of a controlled narcotic without a prescription and one count of trafficking oxycodone.

According to court documents, Wegman was arrested three weeks previously and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is being held without bond and will be arraigned on May 12. She does not currently have a lawyer but has applied for indigent status.

According to Kelly’s account, the man spotted in the graveyard with Wegman was sent to a local hospital for treatment of a pre-existing leg injury.

According to the article, a warrant will be sought for that man, although none has been filed as of yet.
