Florida Man Convicted of Sexting and Inappropriate Relations with Minor after Victim’s Father Reported to Incident to Police
Zachary Marshall Williams, a resident of Sarasota County, was found guilty of six offenses during a trial that was conducted by a jury. These accusations included four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation, one count of using a computer to seduce a child, and one count of transmitting material that is harmful to minors.
According to the facts provided by the State Attorney’s Office, Williams was in a relationship with the child’s elder sister and frequently paid a visit to their residence.
Then, when there were no other adults present in the room, he would engage in sexual offenses against the child when they were at home.
She exposed the assault when the child’s father asked her if Williams had been touching her inappropriately, the SAO also stated. Williams had been caressing the child inappropriately.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office conducted additional investigations and discovered that Williams had been sending indecent communications to the youngster over Snapchat. These messages included photographs of Williams in a nude state.
Additionally, the investigation conducted by the South Carolina State Police uncovered a previous conviction from 2012 that had been examined by the North Port Police Department. Within the context of this particular case, Williams was found guilty of sexually assaulting a male youngster who was two years old while his parents were in a different room within the house.
Up to life in jail is now a possibility for Williams. The date of the sentence is still unclear at this time as reported by MySunCoast News.
