Fentanyl Pills, Cash, and a Machete Confiscated by the Police, 4 Arrested on Drug Charges.

Kane County, Illinois: The authorities in Kane County arrested 4 individuals on Friday. They were carrying 22.4 pounds of Fentanyl pills in their car. A toddler was also on the board. The police also recovered a machete from the vehicle.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy started to pursue a black Ford Fusion that was traveling at 25 mph in a 45 mph zone as he was standing motionless close to the westbound lane of U.S. 89 near Kanab.

The officer activated his emergency lights and pulled the car over at a nearby 7-Eleven when it made a fast bend to the right, cutting the corner.

An affidavit states that Alexis Archuleta Rivas, 28, and Fernanda Karely Gastelum-Lugo, 24, Tomas Eduardo Ibarra, and Jaime Arturo Martinez-Pena, 24, are all accused of third-degree felonies of endangering children or vulnerable adults.

They are also charged with felony charges of possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute them.

The authorities revealed the arrest report that disclosed that the vehicle belonged to Ibarra.

The infant inside the vehicle belonged to Gastelum-Lugo and was eighteen months old. A St. George shelter received the kid while the four adults were being hauled into custody.

Both Rivas and Ibarra acknowledged having and selling the fentanyl pills. According to the police, nine shipments containing around 100,000 tablets were discovered.

All four suspects are in custody and are held at the county jail without bond.
