Father Sentenced for Helping Son Conceal Bodies of Four Murder Victims in Cornfield

Miamistandard– A man who assisted his son in hiding the bodies of four murder victims in a Wisconsin cornfield has found out his punishment after the son lost control.
Darren Osborne, 59, was given a 16-year prison term on Thursday, according to online court records. In October, he was found guilty of four charges related to hiding the bodies of Jasmine Sturm, 30, her brother Matthew Pettus, 26, her boyfriend Loyace Foreman III, 35, and her friend Nitosha Flug-Presley, 30.
His son, Antoine Suggs, 41, shot and killed the victims after a night of drinking in St. Paul, Minnesota, in September 2021. Investigators used security camera video and phone records to show that Suggs killed the victims on Seventh Street in St. Paul between 3:30 a.m. and 3:48 a.m. on September 12.
Video showed Flug-Presley slumped forward in the front passenger seat, according to officials.
Suggs contacted his father after the killing for assistance in hiding the bodies. He “told his father that he lost control and shot a few people,” according to a criminal complaint received by Law&Crime.
“Suggs told his father that the shooting took place in the car on Seventh Street,” according to the Ramsey County criminal charge. Suggs’ father drove him from Wisconsin to Minnesota after they left the Mercedes-Benz in a cornfield. Suggs’ father said he didn’t know that the bodies of the people his son shot were in the car they left behind. He dropped Suggs off in Minneapolis.
Suggs turned himself in to the cops in Arizona, where he was living. He was found guilty and given a 103-year prison term in 2023.
Osborne was sentenced to almost five years in jail in 2022 for assisting his son. He will serve his sentences from Minnesota and Wisconsin at the same time, according to The Associated Press.
