Fatal Car Crash on Black Ice Road; 1 Dead in Indianapolis
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, a crash on the city’s north side has resulted in one death.
Officers were called to the scene of a significant car accident near Spring Mill Road and Kessler Boulevard on Sunday, December 31, around 7:30 p.m., according to IMPD.
The collision has escalated from being first reported as a serious bodily harm collision to a deadly collision. The authorities say that the black ice road conditions have contributed to the accident.
This is just one of several crashes that have happened on New Year’s Eve, according to IMPD. Black ice and slick roadways are a result of mild snowfall and chilly weather in Indianapolis.
The identity of the victim has not been revealed by the police. Further details will be released after the kin of the deceased is notified.
