Elementary School Employee in Custody after he Molested 11-year-old Student who immediately reported Lewd Behaviour in Elk Grove
Elk Grove, CA: The authorities announced the arrest of a former elementary school campus supervisor in Elk Grove on charges of intentionally touching and talking inappropriately with a minor who was eleven years old.
Elk Grove Police Department announced that 49-year-old David Martinez posted $200,000 bail and surrendered himself to the Sacramento County Main Jail on Monday. Prosecutors have charged him with engaging in lewd and lascivious behavior with a juvenile under the age of fourteen and having a sexual interest in a minor.
A student at Helen Carr Castello Elementary in the Elk Grove Unified School District reportedly informed teachers and administrators about the inappropriate behavior according to CBS Sacramento.
The school board subsequently informed law enforcement and put Martinez on administrative leave. Martinez was a part of Franklin Elementary School’s after-school program as well. There have been no other reports of victims, but the police are asking anyone with knowledge to contact them.
The incidents of school employees molesting students have been on the rise. Recently, an IT employee was arrested in Florida after several students reported inappropriate touching and remarks. The employee later shot himself and died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Recently, a teacher was discovered in semi-naked situation with a high-school student who ran away in the natural state. The police officers advice parents and children to report any such activities immediately to the authorities.
