Miami Standard News (North Bergen, NJ) – Friday afternoon, a dump truck smashed into the side of a Target store in New Jersey, demolishing some of the building’s wall and creating a sizable hole.

North Bergen Police reported that six persons were hurt in the collision—two major injuries among them. Local hospitals are treating five of the individuals. The fire chief reported that one of the persons with the most severe injuries was a woman in the store bathroom as the vehicle slammed through the wall.

Authorities said the dump truck driver was among the patients transported to a hospital.

Police claimed the dump truck struck a tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes before slamming into the Target. Chopper 4 could be seen next to the tractor-trailer, with the back looking to be wrecked.

Still under inquiry is the reason behind the crash.
