Drunk Juvenile Struck Patrol Car; Hit Several Parked Cars as He Lost Control Over the Vehicle after Getting Drunk in Memphis
A 17-year-old driver under the influence caused a series of collisions involving parked cars, including an MPD squad car, in The Heights neighborhood, according to the police.
The Memphis Police Department has reported an incident involving a BMW 328i and a GMC Sierra on Rosamond Avenue. The collision occurred when the front driver’s side of the BMW, driven by a 17-year-old, collided with the GMC Sierra.
A teenager driving a BMW collided with the side of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo while traveling westbound. According to the police, the teenage driver also collided with the side of an empty MPD squad car.
A 17-year-old was transported to LeBonheur’s Children’s Hospital in a non-critical condition, according to the police.
Afterward, he was taken into custody and given a juvenile summons for several charges including DUI, driving without a state license, lack of financial responsibility, reckless driving, public intoxication, violating curfew, and failure to exercise due care while driving.
