Miami Standard (Madison, WI) – Five days after a reported hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at a gas station, a 25-year-old Wisconsin man was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Officers were called to a petrol station in the 1400 block of Northport Drive on Friday at approximately 7:20 p.m., according to the Madison Police Department.

Before running away, the offender allegedly pinned a woman between his truck and a propane tank rack after swerving to avoid another car.

Officers found the suspect in the truck in the 500 block of Northport Drive, but he ran away when they came and put tire spikes on him. Later, the truck was discovered with flat tires but no suspect.

The suspect was identified as Johnny McDaniel of Madison, but no arrests were made during a K9 and drone search in the area. On allegations of resisting arrest, evading an officer, violating probation, and criminal property damage, he was taken into custody on Wednesday at a probation and parole office.
