Police officers in Riverside swiftly responded to a residence in the Ramona neighborhood following a report of a recent molestation incident.

Allegations of sexual abuse have emerged involving a severely handicapped and non-verbal girl under the age of 10 during a therapy session in her home. A therapist named Mitchell Takata, 21, from Los Altos, was still at his home when officers arrived.

Investigators from the Sexual Assault–Child Abuse Unit (SACA) were called to the scene and took over the investigation.

Riverside County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges related to inappropriate acts involving a minor, attempted sexual acts with a young child, and attempted rape of a victim with a mental/physical disability.

He is currently being held in custody with bail set at $1 million as reported by Rafu News.
