Detroit Man Arrested For Double Murder in University of Colorado Dorm

Detroit, MI: Officials reported that a student was apprehended on Monday about a double homicide at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.

Nicholas Jordan, 25, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of two victims discovered shot dead in a dorm room on Friday, as reported by the Colorado Springs police. Jordan was discovered in a vehicle on Monday morning and was peacefully apprehended by the police in Colorado Springs.

Jordan, a student from Detroit, attends the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, as confirmed by a university representative.

According to a police statement, the shootings seemed to be a targeted incident involving individuals who were familiar with each other, rather than a random attack on the school or other students.

The individuals who lost their lives have been named as Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, from Pueblo, Colorado, and Samuel Knopp, 24, from Parker, Colorado, as per the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Knopp was a student at the school, while Montgomery was not currently enrolled, according to the police.
