Miami-Dade County, Florida – Miami-Dade County police are investigating a tragic hit-and-run crash.

It happened shortly before 4 a.m. in the vicinity of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 115th Street.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision in which a person was hit by a car.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced the deceased dead on the scene.

Deputies say the driver got out of the car and fled on foot.

The suspect’s description has not been given.
